Geosoft Enterprises is a new powertrain manufacturer based in Zimbabwe, established after acquiring the former BMW Munich engine facility. We manufacture a family of Euro 6 petrol engines under our own generic intellectual property rights, free of licensing constraints from the original OEM.
"Precision powertrains, built for developing markets."
Geosoft will manufacture a family of Euro 6 petrol engines under its own generic intellectual property rights, with an initial production capacity of 500,000 units per year. The project is being delivered as a joint venture with CGI Automotive Consulting and Shield Group, both based in the United Kingdom, with production readiness targeted for Q4 2028.
Geosoft's engine platforms trace back to genuine BMW Munich engineering — decommissioned, acquired, and set to be brought back into production under Geosoft's own generic IPR.
Originally decommissioned the BMW Munich facility and held the equipment and IPR.
Purchased the equipment and IPR from Shield Group to manufacture under its own generic IPR.
Leading re-installation and commissioning in Zimbabwe, with China Sanan Corporation.
Providing full engineering support throughout the commissioning process.
Target date for first production delivery from the Zimbabwe facility.
CGI Automotive Consulting and Shield Group are joint venture partners with Geosoft Enterprises in Zimbabwe.
